This sculptural piece comes from my fondness for the cubist/constructive tradition in art although I tend not to completely abandon representational art. I find myself coming back to themes in nature, in literature, or from personal experiences. Recently I obtained the opportunity to work in aluminum, and the melding of style, medium, and subject matter seemed to be a great fit. Thanks to the Decatur Sculpture Tour and the North Adams Arts Council for making this event possible.
